Universities announce increasing interest of foreigners in studying in Russia
Foreigners are showing great interest and desire to study at Russian universities. Mostly citizens of the countries of the former USSR enter Russian universities.
«Firstly, foreigners come to us under a quota. Secondly, they may also come as compatriots on the budget along with Russian citizens... According to the law, these are citizens living in the countries of the former Soviet Union. Thirdly, there are those who pay out of their own pockets to study here. In total, this will be about 1,000 people. The limitation of places in dormitories does not allow us to enlist more applicants. Since last year there have been more foreigners. This situation is observed not only in our university, but also in others, » said Svetlana Bryukhovetskaya, vice-rector for marketing and work with applicants at the Financial University, on NSN.
Her words are confirmed by the rector of Moscow State University named in the honor of Ogarev Dmitry Glushko.
«During the start of the special operation, we received about 200 Indian students who had fled from Ukraine. We already have a diaspora of nearly 800 Indian students», — Glushko noted.
Earlier «Izvestia» reported the results of a survey by the Your Move project and VK Education, which showed that 96% of Russian youth strive for reach self-set goals.
